Bedside Manner Generators: Operate and Leave Controls
Generators
- Powering generators is part of the Bedside Manner escape objective.
- PC lists Space to operate and Q to leave.
- Controller lists A to operate and B to leave.
Use the generator interaction controls
Bedside Manner lists specific inputs for generators: Space on PC and A on controller. Leaving the interaction has a separate input, Q on PC or B on controller. Learn both parts before starting so you can operate deliberately and disengage when you choose.
Prepare the route as well as the input
Power restoration is an objective, while the creature remains a survival problem. Before you focus on the interaction, keep a destination in mind for the moment you leave. Knowing the leave input is most useful when you also know where you intend to go afterward.
If friends are with you, make it clear who is currently working on the generator and what the group is trying to complete. This does not create a required in-game role or promise a protective effect. It simply reduces the chance that everyone assumes somebody else has the task underway.
| Device | Operate | Leave |
|---|---|---|
| PC | Space | Q |
| Controller | A | B |
Keep the final escape as a separate decision
The developer describes powering generators and sprinting to freedom together. Do not treat operating one object as a reason to forget the escape route. After the relevant objective progresses, decide whether the next job is further power work or moving toward freedom, based on the run you are actually in.
When pursuit interrupts that plan, use the Bedside Manner creature escape guide. It explains the documented kick-or-run response without inventing a generator protection window, a fixed activation count or a guaranteed safe period.
